I HAD A PARTY

Well not really. It was the "empty Nesters" Family Home Evening. In the LDS church we dedicate Monday nights to spend with our families and have lessons and activities. In the area that I live in, there are several couples that don't have children in the home anymore so we meet together once a month to have our own Family Home Evening.
Last night was my turn. I did a lesson about finding Joy in the Journey and then we ate a socialized.

The refreshments.

As part of my lesson I read a story about hot chocolate so I thought it would be fun to have it.

I made all sorts of breads and cheese spreads.

I served the different kinds of jam that I made last summer.

Now my house is clean. Hummmmm, I better find a project.

We've been thinking about doing that in our ward. We have ALOT of empty nesters and kind of small houses so we're trying to work out the kinks. Looks like you guys had fun. Mimi

An empty nesters evening... what a great idea! By the way, Janis, how did we go from being high schoolers to empty nesters so quickly?!!
