OLD WINDOWING AGAIN

Remember this window? Of course you do! I know that my followers (all two of you) have been waiting so patiently ever since I posted this picture in a previous post.

Well here is what I did with it.

I hung it up above my island.

I put the word "KITCHEN" in the top pane.

Caleb says it's a good thing to label my rooms so he knows where they were when he comes over. (I have a penchant for knocking down walls and moving things around.)

His friend Casey came over the other day and when he walked in he said, "I love this place. It reminds me of Willy Wonka's. Everything is always changing and it has so much going on."

I glued some clothes pins on the frame and clipped up some old valentine post cards I had

I also hung a pretty red berry wreath on it. (Note the dinosaur.I think it really helps to "finish" the whole look.)

Willy Wonkas?? Wow what a compliment. I think. Your window is great. I love old windows and have a few. You are so darn creative. I never would have thought to do that. Did you say you cut out your own letters? I think labeling rooms is a good idea. The older I get the more I can't remember what I'm doing. This might help! Mimi

Oh My Stars...this is cute!!! What a great idea for that window. i just love it. Are you really printing out those letters (which would take a ton of ink) and then cutting them out of wood as well? I'm very curious.
As for my L O V E, I just bought it at a local boutique already done. Your new banner is adorable, I can't get over it!
Have a good weekend.

This is beautiful! How fun. I love what the boys said about the place. Made me chuckle. So sweet. Red is my favorite color and I just love the combinations you have used in your kitchen and dining area.
You are just so darn creative!
Have a wonderful weekend,
